Salt Lake City

You know what's awesome?  When you and your significant other have the same interests and priorities.  Matt and I are both nerds who love photography and love to travel.  So, as the eclipse got closer and closer, I finally asked him if he'd want to travel somewhere where we could experience totality, and it turns out he wanted to do that, too!  So, I got to planning, and we started our adventure on August 17, 2017!
4am on the air-train, following a 1am wake up, car ride, and 2 train rides.
Clearly I'm excited, clearly Matt thinks I'm insane.
We flew into Salt Take City.  I almost exclusively find lodging via AirBnB, and we were staying in a room in a house just outside of the city, near Antelope Island.  Our hosts were very nice and helpful, plus their cat made us feel right at home.

We weren't in Salt Lake City for that long, but we got to enjoy some of the local spots.  We visited Epic Brewing for some craft beer and lunch, and also spent a day at the Natural History Museum of Utah.  They had a really neat exhibit on Vikings, it was pretty cool.
